SUMMARY
Sets up and operates casting machine to cast aluminum wheels by performing the following duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Regular attendance and presence at work as scheduled.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including every other weekend
- Communication skills – ability to read, write (clearly), and communicate
- Safety – Understand and promote safety requirements to job and Enkei overall safety policies
- Inspection – Ability to visually locate defects on product
- Quality – Aptitude for associated work instructions, documents and related systems
- Productivity – Physically capable of completing daily job assignments (include lifting as much as 90lbs, hot environment, bending, squatting, traversing up and down stairs, ladders, etc.,) at the required pace to meet production targets.
- Assist in mold removal/installation as needed.
- Assist in preventative maintenance cleaning
- Competent in making necessary equipment adjustments as required (casting machine, saws, mold conditions (blast, die coat, preheat, etc.).
- Robot knowledge may be trained and required on certain machines.
- Attentive to noise changes, visual management of surroundings (monitors, temperature gages, mold movement, equipment movement, abnormal system changes (i.e. pouring, leaks), product changes (flashing, texture, positives or negatives, etc.) to assure quality standard is maintained).
- Blows metal fragments from mold surfaces and lubricate mold cavity as required.
- Ability to tell time on any type of clock
- Able to use basic tools screw driver, wrench, hammer, chipper, die coat gun, air duster, air tools (grinder, sander, chisel).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or high school certificate of completion; three to six months related experience and training preferred; possible to learn the equipment and process through three to six months on the job training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
